Simple Instruction

               The people in the nation who honor, worship and live in unity with and under the Lord God of the Bible are blessed. Blessed means that they are protected, cared for, nurtured and given great benefits beyond what they can provide for themselves. Deuteronomy 28 

Simple Application 

             Accept the Truth 

That the Lord God Almighty has nations who worship Him as their God and Lord.

That the Lord God chooses people for Himself.  Personal God 

That many people personally choose to honor and worship the Lord God of the universe, their Creator. Who Made You?     

That the all-knowing and all-powerful God desires and delights to bless His people. Friendship with God  

That the Lord God of the Bible blesses, nurtures, protects, gives good things to the people who honor and worship Him above all else. God's Laws, Luke 11:9-13; Matthew 6:8-15; Matthew 6:25-34, Holy Spirit Gifts  

            Act upon this Truth 

By desiring to be one of the people God blesses.

By choosing to honor and worship the Lord God of the universe, your Creator. 

By speaking directly to the King of kings and Lord of lords, the Highest Authority, trusting that He hears you. Faith/Fear

By inviting the Lord God Almighty to give you His thoughts, ideas and love. Bible, Trustworthy Word  

By accepting God’s Atonement so you can live in His Presence today and always. 

By submitting and surrendering to the Lord God in your heart and mind for a deep abiding eternal and beneficial relationship. (How to do this?  Sinners Prayer , Psalm 143  

By responding to the Lord God openly and honestly every day of your life and not ignoring Him. God Communicates

By listening to God's Word and living by what He teaches in His Bible. How to Pray , Cry Out, Mercy, With God

By receiving, acknowledging and thanking God for His blessings in your heart and life every day. Friendship with God , Worship God   

By thriving in the Eternal Life God gives every moment! Righteousness or Sinful Life , God's Promises

Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4, Psalm 1 

Prayer 

Lord God, I want to know You more. Please reveal Yourself to me in deeper ways. Increase my faith and trust in You. Remove from me the things that keep me from knowing You, loving and worshipping You. I want You to be my God. Amen.

Are Nations Blessed?        Should we Repent?

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, Psalm 33:12

Blessed means having favor from God and with God. To have the Lord God’s Presence, protection and provision. God list of Blessings.  

How does a Nation become “blessed” of the Lord God?  By the people of that Nation having God as their Lord; By the people of that Nation belonging to the Lord God Almighty, being His treasured possession. 

“For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”  Deuteronomy 7:6

Who is the Lord God Almighty? 

 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.”…say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” …‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’ Exodus 3:14-15

 Jesus said,” My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; … and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” John 10:27-30

 Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth, And I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; Then I will say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people!’ And they shall say, ‘You are my God!’” Hosea 2:23

The Lord God Almighty is the God of the Bible.

How Can a person belong to the Lord God? 

        Doesn’t everyone belong to God? 

     While God owns all things, the Lord God of heaven and earth possesses His own personal people who are men, women and children belonging to Him. These people are God’s own treasured personal property. Deuteronomy 7:6; Exodus 19:5; Deuteronomy 14:2; Psalm 135:4; Isaiah 33:6; Luke 12:34; Genesis 17:8; John 15:16; John 15:19; 1 Peter 2:9; Deuteronomy 4:37; Deuteronomy 10:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14, Joshua 24:14-25,  Ephesians 1:3-14  

For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. Deuteronomy 7:6

 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1 Peter 2:9

         ~ A Friendship with God

How Can Anyone, even me, become God’s cherished possession? 

            A person becomes God’s cherished possession by choosing God by faith and surrendering to Him on His terms and living for Him as Lord.   John 1:1-3; John 1:14; John 1:12-13; John 1:29; John 3:3-21; 1 Peter 1:23, Hebrews 11              

            Go and me to belong to Him because He loves us, wants to nurture us for our deep Joy, and because God is worthy of worship. Because God is Love, God will never force any person to love and serve Him. God gives each of us Freewill, that means our will is free to choose for God or to continue against Him. Forced love is not love, but slavery. Because people choose to live for themselves and not for God based upon God's Word and Holy Spirit, there is much evil and pain in the world.     ~World Violence  ~The Big Picture   

            Because God is holy, God cannot stand in the presence of sin. Because each of us has sinned, we need the Lord God to clean us in order to come into His Presence.     ~ Sinful life  ~ 10 Commandments ~My Room 

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23, Romans  3:9-26

God Wants you and me to come to Him, so the Lord God has provided the Way for each of us to approach the Holy Lord God and to become His child here and now and forever.

Blessing means having favor with God, to have the Lord God’s Presence, protection and provision. 

 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

In Deuteronomy 28 God lists the Blessings and Curses a person can expect according to his or her own choices.

Blessings from God are for people who heed God's wisdom -   “if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God: Deuteronomy 28:1-14

Curses from God are for people who reject God's wisdom -   “if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: Deuteronomy 28:16-68

Is God a legalist? Setting up rules of do's and don'ts so that people must be robots to earn favor? No. Read Jesus' Words about laws in Matthew 23 and about a relationship with God in John 15.
